Trittico nuziale. Legami d'amore per un disegno di civiltà – I. Romeo e Giulietta, gli sposi di Verona

This first volume of Trittico nuziale is dedicated to Romeo and Juliet. It denies the interpretations, which reduce the love of the two young people to a romantic and dark fatuous fire, and offers a sapiential reading faithful to the text of Shakespeare, whose key is nuptial and salvific. That of Romeo and Juliet is in fact a "nuptial love" that consciously claims and takes place in marriage: "Catholic" for Shakespeare! And yet it is true that, on several occasions, the 'spouses' (not the 'lovers') of Verona betray themselves and the grace received and, in the end, turn your back on God, attacked by the circumstances that threaten their union , they despair and kill themselves. Shakespeare, however, does not end the drama with the death of the two protagonists, but with a word of hope, which contrasts the absurdity, the non-sense of the human living and dying: read to the last line to know why and how!

Questo primo volume del Trittico nuziale è dedicato al Romeo e Giulietta. Smentisce le interpretazioni, che riducono l’amore dei due giovani a un romantico e cupo fuoco fatuo, e offre una lettura sapienziale fedele al testo di Shakespeare, la cui chiave è nuzialista e salvifica. Quello di Romeo e di Giulietta è infatti un “innamoramento sponsale” che coscientemente reclama e si compie nel matrimonio: “cattolico” per Shakespeare! E tuttavia è pur vero che, a più riprese, gli ‘sposi’ (non gli ‘amanti’) di Verona tradiscono se stessi e la grazia ricevuta e, alla fine, voltate le spalle a Dio, aggrediti dalle circostanze che minacciano la loro unione, disperano e si uccidono. Shakespeare però non conclude il dramma con la morte dei due protagonisti, ma con una parola di speranza, che contrasta l’assurdo, il non senso dell’umano vivere e morire: leggere fino all’ultima riga per conoscere il perché e il come!
