The article aims to outline a philosophical approach to the theme of Human-centered design. In the theoretical framework of the Design Research (DR), the expressions User-centered- and Human-centered design (HCD) are widely used as synonymous, while a radical distinction seems to be strongly opportune. Talking about a proper human-centered design in the organizations in the digital era, and not simply about a user-centered design, means to consider the need of creating and sharing meaning.

Abstract
The article aims to outline a philosophical approach to the theme of Human-centered design. In the theoretical framework of the Design Research (DR), the expressions User-centered- and Human-centered design (HCD) are widely used as synonymous, while a radical distinction seems to be strongly opportune. Talking about a proper human-centered design in the organizations in the digital era, and not simply about a user-centered design, means to consider the need of creating and sharing meaning.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
