La cadastration et la réorganisation administrative de l'Italie à l'époque d'Auguste

Very famous literary sources have already allowed us to assert the importance of Augustus'work on the measurement, the entering in the land register and the registration of urban territories and private lands, both in Italy and in the provinces. However, apart from these sources, the literature has not sufficiently taken into consideration the information contained in the Corpus Agrimensorum Romanorum, especially inside the so called Gromatici vetoers, about the new Augustus' regulations both of the assignments and distribution of the territorial and administrative Italic territory. My study is dedicated to the presentation of these texts.
