Abstract: We study whether firms' expectations react to the Bank of England's monetary policy announcements by comparing the responses to the Decision Maker Panel (DMP) survey filed immediately before and after a Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting. On the one hand, we find that firms' expectations and uncertainty about their own business for the most part do not respond to high-frequency monetary policy surprises. On the other hand, announced changes in the monetary policy rate induce firms to revise their price expectations, with rate hikes resulting in a reduction in price expectations and the uncertainty surrounding them.2023-01-01T00:00:00ZBootstrap Performance with Heteroskedasticityhttps://hdl.handle.net/10807/2628162024-03-06T00:40:44Z2023-01-01T00:00:00ZTitolo: Bootstrap Performance with Heteroskedasticity

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to illustrate more than one instance of poor bootstrap performance, and to see how available diagnostic techniques can indicate reliably when and how this poor performance can arise. Two particular features that seem to be important to explain bootstrap discrepancy are illustrated by some Monte Carlo experiments.2023-01-01T00:00:00ZIntelligenza artificiale e formazione in traduzione: nuove competenze per traduttori e revisori specialisticihttps://hdl.handle.net/10807/2619542024-03-27T02:53:34Z2023-01-01T00:00:00ZTitolo: Intelligenza artificiale e formazione in traduzione: nuove competenze per traduttori e revisori specialistici

Abstract: Artificial intelligence and the development of new technologies have inevitably revolutionised the role and tasks of language professionals, including specialist translators and proofreaders, who must not only master their working languages but also use technological tools, manage the translation process and manage the various textual and terminological aspects. Theoretical training in terminology, combined with practical know-how, is a definite asset in terms of professionalism and competitiveness.2023-01-01T00:00:00ZIntelligenza artificiale e formazione in traduzione: nuove competenze per traduttori e revisori specialisticihttps://hdl.handle.net/10807/2616372024-03-23T00:43:08Z2023-01-01T00:00:00ZTitolo: Intelligenza artificiale e formazione in traduzione: nuove competenze per traduttori e revisori specialistici
